What is it?

This report explores how greater awareness of rail freight affects public views on rail priorities. Using TfN’s Northern Transport Voices research community, it compares opinions before and after people were given information about the benefits of rail freight.

It helps combined authorities and partners understand public attitudes to balancing passenger and freight use of the rail network. Use it to inform freight strategies, engagement activities and decisions about future rail capacity and investment.
