DESCRIPTION:This meeting has been postponed until a later date. Details of the rearranged session will be posted on our events calendar in due course.\nThe purpose of the Audit and Governance Committee is to provide independent review and assurance to Members on governance\, risk management and control frameworks. \nIt oversees financial reporting\, the Annual Governance Statement process and internal and external audit\, to ensure efficient and effective assurance arrangements are in place. \nThe Constitution places responsibility on the Audit and Governance Committee ‘to oversee the effectiveness of Transport for the North’s risk management arrangements’. \nThe Audit and Governance Committee is comprised of five members of the Transport for the North Board (not the Chair\, or Vice Chair) appointed by the Transport for the North Board; and three Independent members (to be recruited on the basis of relevant skills). A representative of Department for Transport will be invited to attend meetings. \nAll committee meetings are open to the public (including the press) except to the extent that they are excluded whether during the whole or part of the proceedings. \nThis meeting of the Audit and Governance Committee on Friday June 10\, 2022\, and will be live streamed via video conferencing.
