DESCRIPTION:***UPDATE*** \nAs a mark of respect following the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II\, a decision has been made together with the Chair of the Committee to postpone this meeting.\nWe will advise on future meeting arrangements as soon as we have them.\n*** \nThe Rail North Committee has been established to take over the role of Rail North Limited in relation to the management of TransPennine Express and Northern rail franchise matters. \nThis includes among other matters\, the promotion and improvement of rail services in the area of Transport for the North and the wider Rail North area\, the management of the performance of obligations\, and recommendations of budgets and policies. \nThe Rail North Committee consists of one Member and one Substitute Member appointed by each of the Regional Groups set out in paragraph 21.5 of our constitution. \nAll committee meetings are open to the public (including the press) except to the extent that they are excluded whether during the whole or part of the proceedings. \nThis Consultation Call will take place virtually from 11am. It will also be live-streamed via video conferencing.
