SUMMARY:TfN Audit & Governance Committee | 3 Sep 2020
DESCRIPTION:This meeting of the Transport for the North Audit & Governance Committee has been cancelled.Due to the Covid 19 crisis\, our statutory deadline for accounts submission was deferred until the end of November. \nPrior to finalising the audit\, the external auditors are waiting for sign off from the Pension Fund audit that would confirm the pension liabilities in our accounts are final.  We have been advised this sign off is likely to be received in early September.    \nBased on the pending confirmation from the pension audit\, and in order to ensure we have a set of accounts which have been fully audited and can therefore be approved by the committee without caveat\, it is felt preferable to defer the approval to the A&G meeting of 24 September 2020.  The accounts will then be submitted to the Board for approval on 18 November 2020. \nPlease note that whilst you will be able to watch public items\, you won’t be able to make comments or speak to members.
